A collaboration with National Galleries Scotland and 17 local people exploring connections between movement, the body and aspects of visual artist, Bridget Riley’s expansive writing. Responding to an open call, some of the performers were completely new to dance and others had experience to different degrees. Gallery staff were also invited to join. Working together with Janice in an intensive devising and rehearsal period, working fast and deep, this gloriously mixed company created a body of work that was shared, in a sold-out public performance, within the National Gallery in and amongst Riley’s immense exhibition.
